Tropical Smoothie Recipe Set – Hotel
This tropical smoothie recipe set is inspired from my recent trip to Bali, Indonesia. We stayed at a beautiful hotel in Ubud, the cultural, healing and spiritual center of the island. Ubud is where the Bali portion of the book and movie, Eat, Pray, Love with Julia Roberts took place.
Here are some pictures of the hotel where we stayed where we had this amazing tropical smoothie recipe set. I modified the ingredients to make them healthier, lower the sugar content and add a healthy protein source.

Tropical Smoothie Recipe Set – Hotel View
These smoothies are high in nutrients, and high in protein, and have plenty of healthy fat. Normally, I don’t recommend that people eat a lot of tropical fruit as it tends to be high in sugar and can raise your glucose levels too high. However, these smoothies contain a lot of protein and healthy fat from the coconut milk and hemp seeds to keep your blood sugar balanced and stable. Some of them also contain greens to cut the sugar content down, and they are all sweetened with Stevia. Stevia is a sweetener that comes from an herb and it has zero calories and carbs. It is the only sweetener that most experts agree is safe. Whenever I make this tropical smoothie recipe set, they remind me of being in Bali.
